Obituary for Mr. Harold E. Peters Harold E. “Bub” Peters Harold E. Peters, 84, of Hope passed away on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at the home of his step-daughter and son- in- law. He was born in Hope New York, son of Henry and Lillian Sanborn Peters. He was a sawyer at various lumber mills in the Adirondacks and at the Adirondack Furniture Factory in Northville.

After retirement, he spent his time cutting, chopping and selling firewood. Also, he loved hunting for ginseng in the Adirondacks. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-poppy.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna (Bill) Bacon of Gloversville, Nancy (John) Stortecky of Benson and Janet Sweet of Mayfield; one grandson, John G. Stortecky, three great grandchildren, Wyatt Jack, Nash Everett and Lydian Mae; one brother, Nelson (Judy) Peters of Northville and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys E. Peters. He was also predeceased by siblings, Ben Peters, Henry Peters, David Peters, Arbutus Brown and Hugh Peters.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home where funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. with the Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Northville.
