Obituary for Harry D. Moore Harry D. Moore May 15, 1929-June 13, 2018 Harry D. Moore, 89, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor in New Carlisle. He was born May 15, 1929 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Guy Moore and Agnes (Harness) Moore. Harry enjoyed fishing, building model air planes, flying remote controlled air planes and spending time with his family.

He served as a military police officer for nine years in the Army during the Korean War and retired from Howmet Inc. On December 31, 1955, in South Carolina , he married Betty (Phillips) Moore who survives. He is also survived by his two daughters, Cindy Mazur of La Porte and Kelly (Bill) Hastings of Rolling Prairie, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and an extra special daughter in law, Donna (Vernon) Berg. Harry was preceded in death by both his parents, son, Marc Moore, two brothers, Harlon Moore and Loren (Joe) Moore and his son in law, Gene Mazur.

The family would like to thank the staff at Millers Merry Manor and the staff of Grace Hospice for the love and care shown to Harry. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave. , LaPorte, IN.
