Obituary for Harry H. Ramsey Jr. Harry Hamilton Ramsey Jr., age 73, of Harborcreek, passed away following a brief illness on Friday, November 30, 2018 at UPMC Hamot surrounded by his family. He was born in Erie, Pa on, September 19, 1945, the son of the late Harry Hamilton Sr., and Shirley Fell Doyle. Harry graduated from Academy High School in 1964.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in 1995 after receiving numerous medals and awards. Harry enjoyed trains, cars, ships and firearms. He was known as a WWII enthusiast and always loved spending time with his family especially his boys and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Helen L. Mosgrave Ramsey; his three sons, Joseph Ramsey (Farrah Ramsey) of Fort Drum, NY, Charles Ramsey (Nicole Ramsey), of Harborcreek, and Harry H. Ramsey III (Katrina Ramsey), of Buxten, NC; his nine grandchildren, Addyson, Bridgett, Reese, Zoey, Lathan, Braelynn, Emma, Kimber, and Cayson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd, Erie, PA 16504, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service with Military Honors will be held there the following morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
