Obituary of Harry Fisher Harry Sidney Fisher, Jr., 100, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born on September 25, 1918 in Bridgeport, NJ, he was the son of the late Harry Sidney Fisher, Sr. and Lena Mae Stewart Fisher. He was a US Coast Guard – Merchant Marine veteran and a member of the VFW, American Legion and Snethen United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Salisbury Exchange Club.

He worked for 43 years for Dresser Industries retiring in 1983 as a plant engineer. Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, wood working, flirting with the ladies, and was known to be a jokester. Harry is survived by a daughter, Martha Fisher Yates of Salisbury; six grandchildren, William Sherwood Yates & wife, Lisa, Sidney Baine Yates & wife, Gina, Cassandra Yates Peterson & husband, James, Jeff Fisher & wife, Mary, Allyson Smith & husband, James, and Michael Fisher & wife, Jana; 9 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Beach Fisher in 2010; a son, Larry Sidney Fisher; a brother, Stewart Fisher; two sisters, Isabelle Clarke and Harriett Bloom; and a great grandson, Jeffrey Yates. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park with Rev.

Thomas W. Hurley officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, PA, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
