Obituary of Russell Matthews Russell James Matthews, 82, of Nanticoke, died on Friday, November 23, 2018, peacefully at his home. Born on January 18, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Russell and Mildred Houston Matthews. Russell attended Parkville Elementary School and Towson Junior High.

He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and plowing snow in the winter. Russell joined his father at Matthews and Matthews in 1953, retiring in the 1990’s. Russell is survived by his wife Lora Pat Matthews, four daughters, Sandra Tunney, Susan Lynn (John) Seamon, Patty Lee (Raymond) Skalinski, Terri Lynn (David) Handlir; son, Russell James (Susan M.) Matthews III; four granddaughters, Alysia Nile, Amie Greb, Melissa Copenhaver, Stephanie Brooke Handlir; grandson, Jonathan Matthew Mason; and sister, Patricia Bon.

Russell is preceded in death by grandson, Daniel Mcclaskey, father, Russell Matthews, Sr., and mother, Mildred Matthews. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804. To send condolences to the family, please visit www.
