Obituary of James Hoffert James B. Hoffert, 80, of Salisbury, MD completed his journey to his heavenly father and his Mom and Dad on November 8, 2018. He passed peacefully at his home in the loving care of his daughter, Kelly and his granddaughter, Haley. Jim was born on August 7, 1938 in Mohnton, PA.

He was the son of the late Bunting C. and Naomi R. (Miller) Hoffert of Mohnton, PA. Jim was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a mineman in Yokosuka, Japan. He retired after 35 years as an over the road driver, with his last 15 years at Yellow Freight Company in Lancaster, PA.

There he earned a Million Mile Award, which less than 1% of industry drivers achieve. Surviving are: his daughters; Tracy L. Hoffert of Durham, NC and Kelly Jo (Hoffert), wife of David Brown of Salisbury, MD, with whom he resided. His only sister, Dorothy M. (Hoffert) Bausher; a nephew and wife, David J. and Donna J. Bausher of Sinking Spring, PA.

Two grandchildren; Haley E. Todd and Jeffrey D. Todd, both of Salisbury, MD. Jim also leaves behind his faithful buddy, Snoopy; his “sweetheart”, Anna Mae McCoy of Oley, PA; and “The Gang”: Norman and Liz Miller, Kenny and Jane Hoffert, and Jerry and Evelyn Hoffert. A private graveside service will be held at Fort IndianTown Gap in Anneville, PA at the convenience of the family.

A Celebration of Life Service is planned at Living Stones Church of Salisbury, MD, where Jim attended, on 12/1/2018. Memories and condolences may be shared at www. hollowayfh.com.
