Obituary for Harvey Bishop Harvey Bishop Age 66 of Watkins Glen, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 27, 2018. Harvey was born in Walton, NY, the son of Mary and Harvey Bishop, Sr. and served in the US Army after High School.
Harvey was known for his sense of humor and many expressions that he always shared with friends. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Lisa Bishop; 2 daughters, Kimberly (Charles) Smith of Penn Yan, and Heather (Brian) Dumka of New Hampshire; 5 step-children, Jessica LeRoux of Bath, and Brandie Perry of Tyrone, Edward Perry III of Rochester, Justin Perry of Corning, Raymond Perry of Rochester; 2 brothers, Larry (Shelly) Bishop of Farmington, and Robert (Joyce) Bishop of Walton; sister, Rosie Bishop of Indiana; his dog and best buddy, Suzie Q; and 10 grandchildren.
Harvey worked as a Lineman for Frontier Communications in Dundee before retiring and recently Southern Finger Lakes Equipment in Watkins Glen. He also served as a former Tyrone Town Supervisor. His favorite hobby was rebuilding and restoring old tractors, and especially using and working on John Deere equipment.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Monday (Dec. 3rd) from 4pm-6pm; followed by a funeral service at 6:00pm. Interment with military honors will be held at Bath National Cemetery at a later date.
