Harvey Linville October 20, 1931 – January 25, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Harvey Kay Linville, 87, of Rexburg, died January 25, 2019, of natural causes. He was born October 20, 1931, in Poplar, Idaho, to Avis Von Fisher and Harvey Linville. He was raised in Swan Valley and helped plow and farm during the summers.

He loved fishing and going fishing with his dad too. During the winters they lived in Orchards, Washington, where his parents worked in the shipyards during the war. He joined the US Air Force and met Veletta Mae Hemmingson at a USO dance.

They were married on May 25, 1953. They had five children, Sandra, Craig, Brent, Laurel and Amy. He loved motorcycles and dancing.

He had a great love of people and always had a desire to help them. He worked hard and loved his family dearly. He is survived by his children; Sandra Bland, Craig Linville, Brent (Sharon) Linville, Laurel (Ken) LaFrance, and Amy Zollinger; 29 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; a brother Stan (Sharon) Linville and a sister Valeen Meyer.

He is preceded in death by his sweetheart Veletta, sister Ruby Moore, his parents, three grandchildren; and sons-in-law, Michael Bland and Garland Zollinger. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, at the Burton LDS East Chapel, with Bishop Michael Bressler officiating. The family will receive friends that morning at the church from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., prior to services.

Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
