Port St. Lucie Florida: Mrs. Hattie Lorene King Rogers, age 93, formerly of Clayton, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at her residence in Florida. Graveside Funeral Service will be 11: 00 AM Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Rev.

Lloyd Hargis will officiate. Mrs. Rogers was born on October 15, 1924 in Johnston County to the late James and Lettie Woodall King. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Irvin Rogers, son, James Earlan Rogers; sister, Hazel King, and a brother Dwight King.

Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Richard Sherman of Port St. Lucie Florida; son, William Gary Rogers or Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty McGee of Clayton; many nieces and nephews. Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be sent made to one’s favorite charity.
