Peggy loved her Catholic faith, her church and her family and many wonderful friends! She was a very active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, serving as president of the Ladies’ Altar Society for a time, as well as teaching catechism classes on Sunday mornings. She was also Director of Religious Education at Our Lady of Guadalupe for over 15 years.
Peggy was passionate about making sure everyone felt welcome at our parish. She always introduced herself to anyone she didn’t know and made people feel very welcome. Another of her ministries was sending cards to anyone who was sick or in the hospital, sympathy cards or to people who just needed to know someone cared.
She would send one card from the Ladies’ Altar Society and another from her family. This ministry continued for many years until she went to Rolling Ridge Nursing Facility. Peggy also would help when needed at her husband Joel’s church (Hopewell United Methodist Church) when she could.
She was a feisty and very special lady who will be dearly missed!
