Obituary for Hazel Oney Howe Frankfort – Hazel Oney Howe, age 87, passed away at home on September 11, 2018. Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 14, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Mrs. Howe was born in Caney, Kentucky, on April 27, 1931, to the late Bruce and Mae Spencer Oney.
As a talented seamstress, Mrs. Howe owned and operated Frankfort Drapery Shop for many years. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Dickerson; sister, Venus Anderson, and by her previous husband, Jessie Lee Pulliam. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Husband (Kenny) of Midway; brothers, George Oney, Irvin Oney, and Dean Oney; grandchildren, Melinda Roberts (William), Joey Holbert (Rebecca), and Josh Dickerson (Christina); great-grandchildren, Timothy Holbert, Alyssa Roberts, Shawn Roberts, Yazmen Roberts, Quincy Roberts, Jeremiah Dickerson, Zyon Roberts, Daja Roberts, and Justice Burley; and great-great grandson, Isaiah Owens.
She was also blessed with several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Husband, Willie Roberts, Joey Holbert, Shawn Roberts, Quincy Roberts, and Jeremiah Dickerson. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in her memory.
