Obituary for Hazel Thomas Hames Hazel Eugenia Thomas Hames, 83, of Inman, SC, died Friday, December 14, 2018. Born April 28, 1935 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Leonie Bagwell Thomas. Hazel was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, was retired from Spartanburg Ear, Nose and Throat after 36 years, and she also served as a private duty caregiver.

She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Gary Frank Hames; son, Gary Mark Hames (Amanda) of Hudson, NC; three grandchildren, Kayla Pitman (Joel), Tyler Hames (Heather), and Logan Phillips; a sister, Peggy Thomas Brady (Harry) of Inman, SC. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Billy Wayne Thomas and Corrie Sue Lowe.

Visitation will be at 10:00 – 10:45 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the chapel, conducted by Pastor Terry McMillan. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
