Helen Ann Main, 82, went to be with her Lord on January 28, 2019. Helen was born November 12, 1936 at the Grace Hospital in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Benjamin and Gracie Mae Spaulding. Helen graduated from Hutchinson High School, receiving a full ride scholarship to the Menninger Institute.

She instead was married to Walter Felix Main on January 22, 1954 and was married for 52 years. Walter passed away on April 29, 2006. To this marriage, 6 children were born.

Helen later received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Columbia College in Missouri. Helen worked for many years in the education field. Helen also received numerous awards over the years including the Pearl Award which she received from Nancy Reagan.

Helen is survived by her children, Bitsy and husband Joe Blazina of Hutchinson, Scott and wife Kathy Main of Pineville, MO, Kristie Tovar of Winfield, Kelly Main of Denver, and Marla and husband Mike McGovney of Cunningham, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, son David Main, brother Hugh Spaulding, sister Marjorie Spaulding, daughter-in-law Valerie Main and grandson Steven Fish. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6-8 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS 67124.

Funeral Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Larrison Mortuary. Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman. Memorials may be made to the Hope Center of Pratt in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd.
