Balak, Helen J., 93, of Johnstown, passed away November 17, 2018 at home. Born December 31, 1924 in Ernest, Pa. Daughter of Michael and Julianna Klyap.

Preceded in death by parents, husband Andrew J. Balak , sisters Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna, brothers Mike and Jack. Survived by children; Judy married to Fred Meyers – Johnstown, Geralyn Balak – Johnstown, Linda Balak – Johnstown, Alan Balak married to the former Michele Albaugh – Boswell, Mark Balak – Johnstown and Samuel Balak married to the former MaryAnn Horner – Chambersburg. 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and brother, John Klyap.

Helen was a founding member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. She loved the Lord and loved reading the Bible. Helen also loved her children and grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 10 am up until time of service at 12 pm Tuesday, at the Geisel Funeral Home – Johnstown. Rev. Gary Tustin officiating, Interment Richland Cemetery.
