Virginia R. Lunt, 97, Johnstown, died November 10, 2018 at Laurel Wood Care Center. Born February 21, 1921, in Johnstown daughter of Ralph and Lena (Bubons) Raymond . Preceded in death by parents; husband, Louis; daughters, Nancy Evans and Annette Blair; brother, Charles; and sisters, Florence Soliday, Dorothy “Dottie” Zimmerman, Mary Jane Gohn, and Helen Burns-McConnell.

Survived by sons-in-law, George Evans, and Walter Blair; grandchildren, Greg Blair (Sharon), Laura Horner (Robert), Barry Blair (Lisa), Christy Evans (David Stroup), and David Evans; and great grandchildren, Zachary Evans, Kelsey Evans, Nicolas Stroup, Allison Blair, Emma Blair, and Lucas Blair. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 72 years. She taught swimming at the YMCA.

She loved children, painting, crocheting, and baking. Friends received from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8pm Wednesday at John Henderson Company funeral home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11am at Memorial Baptist Church, with Pastor Carl Irwin officiating.

Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grane Hospice or Memorial Baptist Church.
