James Zajdel, a past employee of U.S. Airways and life-long resident of Phoenix, Arizona, died from cancer on November 3, 2018 at the age of 62, while being treated at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. James was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on August 11, 1956, to Rose Marie Gasior and Theodore Zajdel, along with his surviving siblings, Theodore Zajdel (Tudge), John Zajdel (Puncho), Dave Zajdel, and deceased brother, Stephen Zajdel. He also had a loving niece named Nikita Zajdel and a caring nephew named Jonathan Zajdel.

James Zajdel married Pamela McVicka (deceased) and had a beautiful daughter named Kayla Zajdel who is now married to Christian Salinas (son-in-law). James left behind two beautiful grandbabies, Christian William of Age 2 and Angeline Kay-Marie of age 6. The night he passed he was loved by his family around him keeping him company.

His daughter was traveling from Phoenix Arizona to come say her goodbyes for the last time. When she arrived to the hospital she grabbed his hand and said “Dad im here”. He passed away while holding Kayla’s hand knowing she had arrive.

James Zajdel is going to be cremated and a funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on November 4th 2018, at Baker Harris Funeral Chapel Conemaugh, Pa. If you have known him in the past and would like to say your goodbyes you are welcome thank you.
