Helen (Mihalik) Macovitch, Peckville, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 28, 2018, at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center, Olyphant. She was the widow of Joseph S Macovitch Jr, who passed on January 17, 2012. Born Thursday, February 7, 1929, in Mahanoy City, she was a graduate of Mahanoy High School, and a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Mary’s of Czestochowa, Eynon.

Helen was a seamstress, prior to retirement, loved listening to music, and Polka dancing. She is survived by her beloved daughter Janice and husband Joseph; a sister, Rose Kish, Allentown. Helen is preceded in death by 3 brothers, and a sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 9:30 a.m., at St Mary of Czestochowa, Main Street, Eynon. Interment to follow at St Francis Cemetery, Eynon.
