Obituary for Helen Maxine Robins Helen Maxine (Ayers) Robins, 80, of Fort Gibson was born December 15th, 1937, Versailles, California to Franklin and Cora (Rockman) Ayers and entered her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 in Tahlequah, Ok. Surrounded by her family. Helen moved to Fort Gibson in 1945, where she raised her family.

She was a legal secretary before returning to college at Northeastern State University and graduating with honors in 1985. She also earned her Master’s degree and was certified in Early Childhood Education. She loved teaching and loved her students more.

She spent countless hours preparing to ensure her students succeeded in and out of the classroom. Helen would always ensure every child would have a coat, hat or gloves and was protected. She was chosen as Teacher Of The Year, both at Okmulgee and Coweta.

She was active in the Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association and was a fierce supporter of teachers. , God was Helen’s center point and anchor. Helen was an active member of New Life Center Church for over 32 years.

She was always ready to help and volunteered for everything she could. Her humble faithfulness and devotion to God and her church was truly relentless. Her skills were baking, organizing and truly caring about people who needed it.

Helen loved her family deeply. She was the true matriarch of the family, she was strong, forgiving, gave practical advice and loved more than anyone. When she was with her family and grandchildren she was present and in the moment.

She is remembered for her love of gardening, sewing, canning, baking and love of her cats and animals in general. She was fearless and loved fearlessly. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Robins; her parents; and brother, Elmer Ayers.

She is survived by her daughters; Robbie Craft and husband Dowell, Sherry Robins, Christina Flores; son, Roger Robins; granddaughters, Kimberly Adcock and her husband Connor, Stacy Raynor and husband Billy; grandson, Waid Dilbeck and his wife Brenda; 7 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; a very close family friend Jason Todd; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 12:00PM to 7:00PM at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. A Celebration of Helen’s life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at New Life Center in Muskogee with Pastor Phillip Morris and Pastor Danny Harrison officiating.

Committal prayers and interment will follow in the Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Connor Adcock, Waid Dilbeck, Garrett Dilbeck, Jason Riley, Bryan Riley and Billy Raynor serving as casket bearers.
