Obituary for Helen Meyers Dateline: West Alton, MO Helen Meyers, 88, passed away at 8:39 pm November 7, 2018 at home. She was born on January 29, 1930 in West Alton, MO the daughter of Bert & Molly Dolly (Ilers) Elder. Helen married Clyde Meyers on September 24, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1999.

She was the Past State President of the Illinois Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Alton Eagles Lodge 254 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to bowl and was a member of the WIBC, enjoyed traveling, sewing and quilting. Helen is survived by four children, Gregory (Nancy) Meyers of Warrenton, MO, Lana Christine Meyers Tuck of West Alton, MO, Laurie (Michael) Davidson of St. Charles, MO and Timothy (Catherine) Meyers of West Alton; twelve grandchildren, Michael and David Meyers, Jason, Jennifer and Joshua (Stephanie) Tuck, Sean (Amanda) Davidson, Bradley Davidson, Megan (Eduardo) Castillo, Matthew Davidson, Joseph Meyers, Brittany (Zachary) Peth, and Jessica Meyers; thirteen great grandchildren and three on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; and many other family and friends. Visitation will be from 3 – 8 pm Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Monday, November 12, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church in West Alton, MO.

Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
