Helen S. Krul, 97, of Highfield-Butler, died peacefully Saturday, April 21, 2018. Born February 28, 1921, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of the late John Schnitzki and Anna (Lutska) Schnitzki. Helen was a homemaker and was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are her son, John F. (Sue) Krul of Aliquippa, PA. 4 daughters: Regina (Richard) Sporny of Butler; Karen Puff of Pittsburgh; Constance “Connie” (David) Butch of Butler; Marianne (Stanley) Barth of San Diego, CA. 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. “Ed” Krul, whom she married October 13, 1940, he died January 16, 1990; also 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road.
The Rev. William Wuenschel, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
