Helga L. Matty, 90, of Westminster, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at her residence. Born Oct. 23, 1927 in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Wally and Willy Freytag.

She was the wife of the late Robert W. “Bob” Matty. She was a homemaker and member of St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed travelling, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Brian Green of Westminster and Linda and Roger Imes of Reading, PA; sons and daughter-in-law Steve and Dolores Matty of Manchester and Michael Matty of Glen Rock, PA; a sister Christel Brose of Berlin, Germany; grandchildren Jessica, Brandon, Elizabeth, Rochelle, Marissa, Aaron, Jack and Kyle, great-grandchildren Bradyn, Mason and Kaileigh. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster.

Interment will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Catholic Church or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at www. michaeljfox.org.
