Marian Elizabeth Ellis, 88, of Westminster, passed away at her home on April 30, 2018. Marian was born on August 16, 1929 in Baltimore and was the daughter of the late John William and Anna Frances (Kares) Miller. She was the beloved wife of Robert Edward Ellis, whom she married on June 21, 1952.

Marian received her Bachelor of Education degree from Towson State University and her Master’s degree in Education from Bowie State University. Marian was passionate about education and loved children. Being surrounded by her family was her greatest joy. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are children Robert E. Ellis, Jr. of Parkville, and Susan A. Mease and husband Jon of Westminster; brother John F. Miller of Bel Air; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children Nancy E. Ellis and John L. Ellis; and sister Doris Miller. The family will welcome friends on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm with a time of sharing at 7 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd.

, Westminster; Please use the chapel entrance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 am at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will be in Moreland Memorial Park.
