Ethel Bish Valianti, 90, of Westminster, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born on November 4, 1927 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Paul Bish and Marcella Bish (Altland). She was the wife of Romeo Valianti, her husband of 69 years before his death in 2014.

She was a graduate of Westminster High School in 1944. She worked for the Carroll County Health Department for the State of Maryland for 35 years before retiring in 1982. She had a great love… Read More » for animals and supported animal rights organizations.

She was a great cook and loved watching cooking shows. She was also an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Colts. She is survived by daughter Carole Valianti Hammen and son-in-law Don Hammen of Westminster; brother Kenneth E. Bish of Houston, TX; grandson Christopher W. Hammen; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by brothers Stuart L. Bish and Robert Bish; sister Kathryn Bish Taylor; and niece Betsy Bish Martin. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22 from 10 to 11 am. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd.

, Westminster. A service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Internment will be in St. John Cemetery, Westminster.
