Edward William Nichols, 89, of Reisterstown, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at home. Born November 18, 1928, in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Harvey E. Nichols and Lois E. Scott Nichols. He was the husband of the late Suzanne R. Nichols.

Before retiring, he was Electrical Engineer for Westinghouse. He was an avid line dancer and a wonderful teacher of line dancing. He was a member of the Carroll Lutheran Line Dancing and the Senior Center Line Dancing.

He was also a member of the largest and oldest High IQ Society, Mensa International. He enjoyed making homemade wine and gardening. He is survived by his daughter Betty Taylor and husband Gary of Finksburg, his son Bill Nichols of Huntsville, AL; brother James Nichols and wife Hazel of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Greg Nichols of Washington, DC and Alexandra Nichols and husband Sasha Bentley of Brooklyn, NY; numerous nieces and nephews and close friend Joan Livezey.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157. Service details will be posted at a later date.
