Irene Strevig Bailey, 88, of Westminster, died Monday, September 24, 2018, at home. Born in Pleasant Valley, she was the daughter of the late John Leroy Strevig and Mary Prudence Barnhart. Her husband Hubert Paul Bailey died Sept.

28, 1997. Before retiring she worked at Grief-English American. She was a member of Baust United Church of Christ.

She is survived by a sister Gladys Bauerline of Westminster, brothers-in-law Doug Geouge and Dick Haines of Westminster; caregivers Jennifer and Teresa Johnson, Cassie and Victoria Lookingbill, all of Taneytown; nieces Patsy Spencer, Vicki Luther, Stacy Bowman and Darlene Bailey, and a devoted friend Linda Bowen. The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. with her pastor, Rev. Jeffry Dull officiating. Private interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
