Michelle “Shelly” Dawn Nicholson, 50, of Westminster, died July 20, 2018 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born December 4, 1967, she was the daughter of Allen Junior Rhodes of Finksburg and the late Brenda Darlene Petry Rhodes. She was the loving wife of 22 years to David Paul Nicholson.

She was a Daycare Director at Right Start in Reisterstown. Besides her husband and father, she is survived by son Chase Nicholson; nieces and nephews, Courtney and Becca Rhodes, Katzie Nicholson, Tyler, Colton and Alex Rhodes; brothers Michael Rhodes, Mark Rhodes (Amanda), Mitchell Rhodes (Lori); step-mother Gerri Rhodes; devoted friends Kelly W., Chrissy, Carol, Sarah and Casey; mother-in-law Kristine Poole (Raymond), father-in-law David Nicholson; grandmother-in-law Anna May Manning, brother-in-law Brian Nicholson (Amy). Also survived by cousins, aunts, uncles and devoted canine companion Chip.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 26, from 10 a.m. until time of service, at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Lou Piel pastor of Mt.

Zion United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Ovarian Cancer Research, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.
