Lee Montague Holland, 86, of Westminster, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at home with his children by his side. Born August 12, 1932 in Berea, Ohio, he was the son of the late Stuart Wayne and Ada Marie Holland. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Jean Holland, whom he married April 2, 1960.

Lee was a veteran of the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division from 1954-1956. He was a welder by trade and was employed by the State of Maryland, and worked for 36… Read More » years at Rosewood State Farm-Hospital retiring in 1992. He attended Clearfield Bible Church.

Lee was gifted at fabricating steel and welding, and was proud to be able to do all his own maintenance on his cars and around the house. He enjoyed ground hog hunting, going on vacations to the mountains of Deep Creek, playing checkers, and collecting marbles. He liked playing softball and watching Oriole games.

Lee was a hard worker, and honest person who always put others first. He especially enjoyed being with his family; and was an amazing dad, provider and role model for all them. He is survived by devoted children Paula L. and husband Steve Jackson of Manchester, Richard C. Holland of Westminster and Carole K. and husband Keith Caple of Finksburg; grandchildren Steven A. Jackson, Jennifer Pugh, Matthew K. and Nathan L. Caple, Hayli D. and Ricky W. Holland; great grandchildren Lana, Lucy, Jeremy, Liam, Jaydan and Lyle; siblings Iva Holland, Paul Holland, Evelyn Norris, Carol Graves, Wayne Holland, Dwight Holland, and Ellen Holzman.

In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his sister Elsie Holiday. The family will welcome friends on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. , Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with his pastor, Rev. Ray Newman, officiating. Interment will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
