Theodore Leo “Ted” Dworkowski, Sr., 95, of Westminster, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Ted was born on August 15, 1922 in Curtis Bay, Maryland, to the late John and Josephine (Oczus) Dworkowski. He was the husband of the late Madeline Patricia Dworkowski.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. Ted was an avid deer hunter. He enjoyed long country rides and watching the birds and squirrels outside his home.

He is survived by his loving family, including, but not limited to, sister Dorothy Lester of Towson, MD; daughter Leila Gainer of Myrtle Beach, SC; step-son Daniel Solloway of Greensboro, MD; step-daughters Patricia Callahan of Taneytown, MD, Dorothy Michloritz of Gainsville, VA, and Karen Crumley of Westminster, MD; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and great-great-granddaughter Madisyn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Theodore “Teddy”, Jr.; brothers Walter, Paul, Milton, and Leo; sisters Mary, Mamie, Helen, Josie, Ann, and Julie; and three siblings who passed away in infancy. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. , Westminster.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 27 at 11 am at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Baltimore.
