David Arthur Thimsen, 49, of Baltimore, died Thursday, May 10, 2018, at home. Born July 12, 1968 in Kassel, Germany, he was the son of Arthur R. Thimsen and Clara L. Fischer Thimsen of Westminster. He was a 1986 graduate of Westminster High School where he lettered in tennis.

He worked as a professional cosmetologist at the PADMA Salon in Hampden. He loved all kinds of music, animals and had rescue dogs. Besides his parents, he is survived by sisters Cheryl Nelson (Glenn) of York, PA; Cindy Henry (Richard) of Thomasville, PA; nieces Jessica Wildasin (Josh), Carolyn Bassett (Chris), nephews Steven Hemler and Nicholas Henry, 3 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces, special friends Kim Cincotta and Larry Watts.

Also survived by many friends and loved ones. Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with Rev. Kevin Clementson officiating.

Private interment will be at Meadow Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster, MD 21157 or the American Diabetes Association at www. diabetes.org.
