Charles “Charlie” Martin Simpson, 89 of Westminster, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Dove House. Born on September 20, 1928 in Bark Hill he was the son of the late Charles Monroe Simpson and Marguerite Martin Simpson. Before retiring, he was a life long plumber.

He was a member of St. Mary’s United Church of Christ. He attended Elmer Wolfe School in Union Bridge and served in the Army from 1950-1952 in Germany. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy M. “Dottie” Halter Simpson, and also survived by nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Run, with Rev. Eric Marsteller officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mary’s United Church of Christ, 1441 East Mayberry Road, Westminster, Md.
