Obituary for Herbert Cowart Herbert Cowart, 85 of Franklin Creek passed away on July 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1932 in George Co., MS. Mr. Cowart worked for International Paper Company where he retired after many years of service.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and a member of Franklin Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Cowart was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Virtue Olivia Cowart, his step mother, Ruby Cowart, his infant daughter, Juanita Agnes Cowart, and his brothers and sisters, Harold Cowart, Vivian Havard, Lesley Cowart, Gladys Mae Misko and his twin brother, Hubert Cowart. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cowart, of Franklin Creek, children, Woodie (Susan) Cowart of Moss point, MS, Amanda (Derek) France of Panama City, FL, Jason (Jamie) Cowart of Pascagoula, MS, his grandchildren Hannah (Michael) McNair, Kelsey Cowart, Erin France, Madeline France, Clara France, Jacob Cowart, Jillian Cowart, his brothers and sisters, James Louis Cowart, Francis Webb, Margie Dowdy, Edith Fitzgerald, Onita Fitzgerald, Barbara Madison along with brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Visitation for Mr. Cowart will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at Franklin Creek Baptist Church, 11505 Independence Rd. , Moss point, MS. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.

Johnathan Greer officiating. Burial will be at Orange Grove Cemetery in Moss Point. Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS, is in charge of arrangements.
