Herbert E. Snyder, age 90 of Jackson Twp. , passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born November 6, 1928, in Jackson Twp.

, the son of the late R. Leo and Dorothy (Hossler) Snyder. Herbert was a retired farmer but also had worked for 37 years at Jackson Local Schools as a bus driver and custodian. He was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Past President of Jackson Lions Club and Past President of Stark County Farm Bureau.

Herbert is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Dan Olenick of Canal Fulton and Deidra and Ed Graham of SC, son and daughter-in-law Les and Sharon Snyder of Canal Fulton, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Verle Elsass, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris J. Snyder, second wife Esther Pfahler. Funeral service will be held at St. Jacob Lutheran Church on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lynn Williamson officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 A.M. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jacob Lutheran Church 8697 Mudbrook St. N.W. Massillon, OH 44646 or St. Luke Lutheran Community 220 Applegrove St. N.E. N. Canton, OH 44720.
