Hermine Yeatts, 92 of Danville, VA. , passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Roman Eagle Nursing Home. She was born January 30, 1926, in Poland to the late Paul and Eva Sniegon and immigrated to the United States as an infant.

Her family grew up in humble circumstances but felt very blessed to live in the United States. Mrs. Yeatts worked as a Registered Nurse after she received her nursing degree in 1947 from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing, Richmond, VA. While raising her family she continued her commitment to her nursing career of helping the sick and suffering. Mrs. Yeatts was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Guy K. Yeatts, who she married on November 24, 1949.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Yeatts is survived by her daughter, Clara Lee Yeatts of Danville, Va. , her son Steve Yeatts of Chapel Hill, NC and her brother, Paul Sniegon of Florida. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Justin Stowe, Patrick Stowe, Sam Rippe, and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Yeatts was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Stowe, her sisters Stella Sledge, Helen Johnson, Augustine Clawson, her brother Fred Sniegon and her grandson Matt Stowe. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Norris Funeral Service Inc., 3995 Franklin Tpke.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 with a private interment at Highland Burial Park with Rev. Joseph Yeatts and Rev. William Preskitt officiating.

The family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) at 12501 Old Columbia Pike Silver Spring, MD 20904.
