Inez Bowman Walden, 87, of Danville, Va. , passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Roman Eagle Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born June 14, 1931, in Pittsylvania County, Va.

to the late Lillie Evans Bowman and the late Tobe Bowman. Mrs. Walden was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bailey Walden. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Blairs, Va.

Mrs. Walden is survived by her daughters, Brenda Petty (Joseph) of Danville, Penny Walden of Danville, Joyce… Read More » Wilson (Gary) of Blairs, and Lisa Walden of Danville; her son, Charlie Walden, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Esther Bowman; as well as 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Walden was predeceased by her son, James Ira Bowman; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; as well as ten sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Norris Mt.

Hermon Chapel with Rev. Reginald Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home immediately prior to the service. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt.
