Hazel Bauguess Evans Shelton, age 83 of Danville, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long illness on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. She was born February 6, 1935 in Thurmond, NC to the late Dallas M. Bauguess and the late Marie B. Waddell Bauguess. Hazel was married to the late Burton R. Shelton.

She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. Mrs. Shelton is survived by a daughter, Vickie Evans of Danville; two sons, Mike Evans (Wanda) and Ryland Shelton, Jr. (Patty) both of Danville;… Read More » a special sister, Nadene Lewis of Danville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one foster child, Nancy Dickens of Danville. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son Keith Burchfield.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2018 at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA with the Rev. Adrian Moore officiating. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave.
