Albert Garfield Isom, 92, of Fieldale, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October, 29, 2018. He was born on September 21, 1926, in Galax, VA to the late Lonnie Creed Isom and Mae Sawyers Catron Isom. In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Charmie Pugh Isom.

He was also predeceased by three brothers, Henry Isom, Paul Isom and Lonnie Junior Isom and three sisters, Annabelle Isom Bunn, Georgia Isom Lineberry and Ruth Isom Dotson. Albert… Read More » is survived by two loving sons, Stephen Ray Isom and wife Darlene Ferguson Isom of Bassett, VA and Richard Lee Isom and wife Patricia Beavers Isom of Clyde, NC. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Mandy Isom Haygood and husband Andrew Haygood of Clyde, NC and Christy Isom Haygood and husband Aaron Haywood of Wichita Falls, TX along with their children Lacey Haygood and Ellie Haygood.

Also surviving Albert are his sister Edith Isom Gravley of Galax, VA and his brothers Stewart Isom and wife Ruby of Kernersville, NC and Raymond Isom of High Point, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Albert was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and had retired from W. M. Bassett, Co. after 52 years. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Stanley Waddell officiating.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Fieldale Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 352 Fieldale VA 24089. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville, VA is serving the Isom family.
