Donald Paul Amos, 81, of Bassett, VA passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born September 16, 1937 in Bassett, VA to the late Paul Posal Amos and Ada Rigney Amos. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie Amos and Richard Amos.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hollandsworth Amos of the home; daughter, Lisa Laughlin (Bill) of Bassett, VA; step-daughters, Tammy Strain of Bassett, VA and Susan Turner (Junior) of Stella, VA; sons, Donnie Amos,… Read More » Jr. of Bassett, VA, Tony Turner (Vicky) of Bassett, VA, and Steve Amos of Collinsville, VA; sisters, Nancy Bray of Leatherwood, VA and Shelby Waller of Bassett, VA; brothers, Doug Amos (Shirley) of Bassett, VA and Alfred Amos (Betty) of Bassett, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Joshua Kenny, Andrew Kenny, Anna Jade Amos, Brandon Craig, Christian Turner, and Danielle Amos; and great-grandchildren, Cole Kenny, Davis Kenny, and Lani Rae Craig. A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Minister David Deisher officiating.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and other times at home. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville, VA is serving the Amos family.
