Willie Lee Prior, age 88, of Danville, Va. , went home peacefully to be with Jesus Christ our Savior, on Monday, December 10, 2018. He had been declining in health for the past four years.

Willie worked at Dan River Mills for forty-five years. He was a Charter member of the Westover Drive Church of God. Born October 5, 1930, in Winnsboro, S.C., Willie was the son of the late Harvey Lee Pryor and Mattie Raney Pryor.

Mr. Prior is survived by two sons, William David Prior, Terry Prior and wife, Jane, all of Danville; one daughter, Trudy Karen Prior and her friend, Kevin Brening of Danville; one brother, Steve Pryor of Pelham, N.C.; three grandchildren, Angela Renee H. Murphy and husband, John, Amy Nicole Haley and husband, Doug, and Timothy David Prior; as well as seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Norris West End Chapel with Rev.

Roger Ewing and Rev. Billy Hedrick officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.

View Cemetery, Danville. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the funeral home prior to the service, and at other times at the residence. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave.
