William Harold “Bill” Billings, 89, of Collinsville, VA passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018. He was born November 12, 1928 in Henry County, VA to the late William Bryan Billings and Lou Johnston Billings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Billings Palmer; and brother, Jack F. Billings.

Mr. Billings was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Navy and retired as a machinist for Forest City Tool. He loved riding motorcycles, fishing,… Read More » and mineral prospecting.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nelda Manning Billings of the home; son, William Dean Billings and wife, Gwyn of Collinsville, VA; grandchild, Sallie Billings Oldham and husband, Jason; and great-grandchildren, Briggs Oldham and William Arthur Oldham all of Pelham, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Rev. Larry Cheek officiating.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Henry Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 406 West 34th St., Kansas City, MO 64111 or the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville, VA is serving the Billings family.
