Hilda Cole Chachere passed away peacefully on January 29, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of James H. Chachere Sr. Mother of Debra “Jean” Chachere (former husband, David Gomez), Scott A. Chachere and the late James H. Chachere Jr. Grandmother of Whitney Gomez (fiancé, Andrew Chapple) and Scotti Haydel (Greg Haydel). Great-grandmother of Charli Haydel.

Daughter of the late Charles Lee Cole and Hilda Mae Shipley. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters and is survived by many other relatives and friends. Hilda attended Texas Christian University and worked for many years with Roy Gattuso Realty as a licensed real estate agent, notary public, property manager and many administrative roles.

She also worked for the Archdiocese of New Orleans as property manager for their Howard Avenue facility. Hilda was a tireless worker and volunteer, serving as President of the Knights of Columbus Council 4222 Auxiliary and many other clubs. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy.
