Hillard Thurman “Dick” Hines, 78 of Diana passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at United Hospital Center. He was born February 05, 1940 in Webster County to French “Bun” and Millie Cochran Hines. He retired from Leslie’s where he worked as a lumber grader.

Dick never met a stranger and considered his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews as his own. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and watching NASCAR, especially Kyle Busch. Dick is survived by his wife Louise Garvin Hines; brothers Buddy Hines of Virginia and Johnny Hines of Clarksburg; sisters Irene Arthur of Hacker Valley, Myrl Miller and Jewel Clutter both of Medina, OH, and Shirley Clark of Diana; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Frank Hines and Bob Hines, and sisters Helen Spittler and Neva Cutlip. Friends may join the family for Graveside Services on Saturday, February 02, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hines-Clifton Cemetery, Diana with Pastor Kenny Pritt officiating.
