Howard J. “Sonny” Geiger, Jr., 83, of Palmyra passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. Born October 27, 1935 in Hershey, he was the son of the late Howard J. “Dutch,” Sr. and Stella M. (Uhler) Geiger. Retired as warehouse manager from Bethlehem Steel, he was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years Joann M. (Trumpeter) Geiger; sons Chris B., husband of Annemarie Geiger of Plano, Texas, Douglas S., husband of Linda M. Geiger of Palmyra, and Dale R. Geiger, partner of John W. Bane of Sanford, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 30, 2018 at Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
