On September 23, 1934, Howard Lewis made his entrance into the world. He was the second born son to Juliet Franklin. His humble upbringing instilled in him a strong work ethic, a deep love for his family and a selfless spirit.

He attended the illustrious Carve High School and was a member of the Class of 1955. His strong belief in Christ grounded him and propelled him throughout his life. He embodied the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have done unto you”.

He lived a long and fulfilling life with no regrets. On February 24, 2019, he took his last breath, at peace with a lasting legacy. After 84 years of tireless service, he left us with the torch to continue on.

Howard leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife: Vanessa; children: Diane (Terry), Linda, Jewel, Howard (Brenda), Angela (Charles), Carolyn (Fred); one step-daughter: Tanya; two sisters: Gloria Jean Kyle and Juliet Nelson; sister-in-law: Phyllis (Lawrence) Matthews; brothers-in-law: Billie (Cassandra) Wyckoff and Jeffery (Syndie) Willis; one adopted son: Oscar Ash; a host of other relatives and friends.
