Obituary for Howard R. Shaw II Howard R. Shaw, II, 86, of Haines City, FL died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his home. Howard was born on July 18, 1931 in Slater, MOto Howard R. Shaw and Bonnie Theodora Bulpit Shaw. Howard was raised in Springfield, IL and went to school there.

He was a member of Kumler Methodist Church in Springfield. He later attended Carthage College in Carthage, IL. Howard was Past Master Councilor of DeMolay in SpringfieldHe is survived by his wife, of 60 years, June; son, Howard III (Miriam) Shaw of Olathe, KS and daughter, Diane (Gary) Craig of Grain Valley, MO.

He worked for the Bayer Chemical Company for 30 years as a biochemist in Kansas City, MO, after his retirement he and his wife moved to Haines City in 1988 and have lived in Sweetwater since that time. He was co-editor of the community’s newsletter for 29 years. .
