Obituary for Michael J. Paolino Jr. Michael J. Paolino, Jr. 71, Haines City, FL, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2018 after a long and hard fought battle with leukemia. Throughout his illness, he overcame many obstacles, due largely in part to his never ending positive attitude. He was like a cat with nine lives; and with the help of his wife, Ina, who was also his primary caretaker and biggest cheerleader, he faced every setback with strength and resolve to beat it, and most of the time he did.

His infectious positivity made him a favorite among the many doctors, nurses and staff members who cared for him throughout his illness. While receiving treatments, he would spend his time sharing stories, laughing with and encouraging the other patients to simply enjoy each day. He became an inspiration to other patients and they would look for his smile and encouragement on treatment days.

He exceeded expectations every step of the way and was a true Miracle Man. Mike loved cars, riding motorcycles with his son, amusement parks and spending time with his family. He was a devoted animal lover who could never resist a stray.

The Paolino family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Bond Clinic, Winter Haven Hospital Street 4 Oncology, Tampa General Hospital and Moffitt Cancer Center for their expert care and support. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ina, a daughter, Christine Kuchar and son in law, Brian and beloved grandchildren Jack and Caroline of Sandwich, MA, a son Michael and his wife Debby and their son Christopher of Haverhill, MA and his 4 beloved cats, Minnie, Hooch, Sophie and Baby. There will be no service.
