Born August 17, 1937 in Florala, AL she moved to Winter Haven in 1977 from Bowling Green, FL. She had worked at various things such as Insurance, Attorneys offices and Polk Community College and was the owner of Title Searches of Polk County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Lamar Kory of Lake Wales, FL and James Leonard Kory and his wife Kelly of Winter Haven, FL; a brother, Dwight Wilson Grimes of Lakeland, FL; and three grandchildren.
