Obituary for Herman Junior Hill HAINES CITY – Herman Junior Hill, 86, of Haines City, Florida went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 as he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 11, 1931 in Blount County, Alabama to the late Coy Hill and Cleslie (Mitchell) Hill. He has been a resident of Haines City since 1955.

He was an entrepreneur; a local business owner who owned and operated the Patio Drive-In, Hill’s Janitorial Service, and Haines City Carpet and Drapes for many years. He also served the City of Haines City well as a former city commissioner, mayor, and volunteer. He was a faithful and long-time member of Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City.

He loved the Lord, his family, his church and his community. Herman was always ready to work and ready to help. He enjoyed fishin’, huntin’, mowin’ his grass, just sittin’ and talkin’, and fixin’ anything that you needed fixin’.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jeannie Hill, brother Harold Hill, sister Virginia Lane, and son T. Wayne Hill. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Bonnie Hill, son Wallace Hill of Winter Haven, daughter Brenda (Robert) Congdon of Haines City, step-sons Rick (Dey) Land of Lake Wales, Ron (Laurel) Land of Hoover, Alabama, brothers Clyde Hill of Lakeland, William (Nancy) Hill of Winter Haven, sister Lounette Marshall of Winter Haven, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren and 2 step great great grandchilden. Viewing will be held 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Landmark Baptist Church, 2020 East Hinson Avenue, Haines City.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City. Burial immediately following at Forest Hill Cemetery. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Herman Junior Hill please visit our Sympathy Store.
