Obituary for Fred Green Sr. Fred Green Sr., 79, of Davenport, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 in the home of his daughter. He was born on July 12th, 1938 in the family Home of Two Egg, FL to Council and Hattie Green. He moved to Central, Florida at the age of 15 with his brother Coy Green.

He lived in Haines City for 10 years then later on moved to Davenport where raised his children and resided there for 48 years. He worked for many years as a plasterer in construction and was a dedicated church member of The Harvest at the Barn in Davenport, FL. He was the second youngest of 27 children, a hardworking man, and he loved his family dearly.

Fred learned stucco, home repair and painting cars. Fred used to wake up his children in the mornings with his famous quote, “The early bird gets the worm”. He enjoyed going to auctions to see old cars.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He now walks with the Lord on the street of gold. Fred is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 62 year, Nora Green of Davenport, FL; three children, Fred Green Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Haysville, NC, Jeffrey Green and his fiancé, Catherine Debruyne of Lake Wales, FL, and Brenda Bitner of Davenport, FL; four siblings; grandchildren, Shannon, Nick, Shane, Zachary, Adam and Josh; and eight great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. all at The Harvest at the Barn in 3010 Adair Rd in Davenport, Florida. Final Resting Place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, Florida.
