Obituary for Edwin M. Hein Edwin M. Hein, 86, of Haines City, a devoted husband, father and Pop-Pop passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Born in Allentown, PA on November 25, 1931, Ed graduated from South Whitehall High School in 1949 and then went on to enlist in the US Air Force. He remained in the Air Force for 20 years from 1950-1970.

After retiring from the Air Force, Ed began his career at Verizon where he remained for the next 25 years as a Communications Technician. Ed loved sports, was a huge fan of NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, and loved to bowl, competing in many leagues over the years. In retirement, he became an avid golfer.

He also loved to play cards, travel and dine out. Ed was a very devoted and caring husband, father and Pop-Pop. His family meant the world to him.

Ed is survived by his wife of 36 years, Fran, his children Deb Reilly, Ed Hein Jr., Doug Hein, as well as his granddaughters’ Danielle Roth, Anabel Hein and Lola Hein. Services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 901 Scenic Highway, Haines City, FL. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Edwin M.
