Obituary for Mike Farmer Edward Michael Farmer (Mike) passed away peacefully on Friday October 26, 2018 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Erica Taxdal Farmer and cherished father of Scott Farmer (Janeen) and Shannon Landon (Scott). Son of the late Edward August Farmer (Alice) and Mayme Hawkins Farmer and brother of the late Margie Benjamin.

Mike will also be fondly remembered by his granddaughter Kayla, step-granddaughter Emma, Nephew Benny Benjamin and his grandnieces Rebecca, Caitlin and Margie. Mike was born in Owensboro, Kentucky but spent the majority of his youth in the Kansas City area. After attending the University of Kansas and the University of Nebraska Omaha he began a career in Sales traveling the Western States before settling in Winter Haven, Florida to raise his family.

He found pleasure in the details of everyday life, spending time with friends, mentoring others, trips to the casino and traveling. He will always be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family, his caring and loving spirit, his laughter and humor, and his storytelling. He was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all.
